What Do You Want?

This is a lighthearted post focused on politics

I don’t plan to talk about politics too much on this site but I do think politics is one place where we can find places to grow. Since the political world is so polarizing, i think it is likely that many of us have experienced a situation in which we got angry or distressed over someone else’s political point of view.

These are great places to understand things about ourselves. Do you notice someone’s views makes you angry or upset? Are you fully in touch with your own views? I realized that up until recently I thought I had an idea of the things I most wanted out of government, but when I really thought about it, I couldn’t name more than a couple.

It was helpful for me to sit down and think about what is important to me when it comes to what I want from our government and our elected officials. I in no way have it all figured out and some of my items shift, but nw when I am speaking to someone or thinking about a political point of view I can look at it from my lens of what is important to me. What do you want? What do you want from our government and for us to look like as a nation? What do you want our politicians to fight for? I would love to hear and discuss your thoughts wherever you might want to share them.
