This is a Foucault Pendulum.  I came across it at the Boston Museum of Science.  I was mesmerized by it.  I stood there watching it for about 15 minutes and definitely could have stayed longer.  

Curious what a Foucault Pendulum is?  Boom it's bullet fact time!

  • It's sole purpose was to demonstrate that the earth rotates.
